Each year, lakhs of candidates vie for success in the UPSC civil services examination, aspiring to secure prestigious positions such as IAS, IPS, IFS, IRS, and other civil services roles. However, out of the vast pool of applicants, only around 1000 manage to qualify for the examination. Many aspirants undergo multiple attempts, spanning 2 to 3 years, in their endeavor to crack the UPSC civil service exam.

One such individual is IRS officer Zeba Khan, who achieved success in her third attempt at the UPSC exam. Securing All India Rank (AIR) 423 in the UPSC CSE 2020, she currently serves as an Assistant Commissioner in the Income Tax department. Hailing from the Guna district of Madhya Pradesh, Zeba completed her schooling in Guna and pursued her graduation, earning a B.Sc in Electronics, Mathematics, and Physics from Indore.

Zeba’s journey towards UPSC began during her high school years, as she harbored aspirations of appearing for the civil services examination since Class 11-12. Commencing her UPSC preparation during her college tenure, she enrolled in coaching classes in Indore dedicated to UPSC civil service exam preparation. Following her graduation, she relocated to Delhi to further intensify her UPSC preparation efforts.
